When you hire a fencing contractor for a commercial project, insurance isn't a checkbox — it's your liability. If a worker is injured on your property and the contractor doesn't carry workers' compensation, that claim can come back to you as the property owner or manager.
Many fencing companies will tell you they are workers' comp exempt. What they won't tell you is that under Florida law, only the owners of a company can elect to exempt themselves from workers' compensation coverage. Employees must be covered — no exceptions. If a company has workers on your job site and claims a blanket exemption, those workers are uninsured, and your property is exposed.
XL Fencing carries full workers' compensation coverage for every employee on every job. We also carry general liability insurance. Before any commercial project starts, we can provide certificates of insurance naming your company as an additional insured.

Ask for a certificate of insurance showing both general liability and workers' compensation.
